First released via Full Time Hobby in October 2022, on black and clear vinylvariants, the debut self-titled album by Sylvie now gets a new pressing on 'Bone'white vinyl.Originally inspired by his Dad's almost-were 70s soft-rock pioneers Mad Anthony,Ben Schwab started out as part of LA scenesters Drugdealer and Golden Dazebefore settling on the rolling folk-rock style of Sylvie, taken from the IanMatthew's track of the same name.Blissfully reminiscent of Laurel Canyon’s rootsy collaborative scene and featuringhis two close friends, Mariana Allen and Sam Burton sharing vocal duties, 'Sylvie'was a slow burn on original release but soon came to be seen as a classic of thegenre. Following release, Ben took his Sylvie collective on the road, touringmultiple times in Australia and Europe, including a now-legendary set for End ofThe Road and followed by supports in the US with acts like Widowspeak and JessWilliamson.Ben said at the time, “I aspire to write timeless songs I could relate to 40 yearsfrom now,” he says.“Putting my own life experiences, friends and family into them, making Sylvie has been a spiritual pursuit.”
